A NEPA Environmental Assessment, prepared by AES, was approved by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, resulting in a 17 acre property being taken into trust for the benefit of the Cherokee Nation. The site, which is proposed for a casino, is located near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The EA evaluated potential impacts to cultural and biological resources, as well as traffic, water quality and air quality.
