Donnelly Creek Vineyards Water Rights Project Approved
January 2, 2013

The State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Water Rights, approved two water rights for Donnelly Creek Vineyards located near Boonville, in Mendocino County, California. AES prepared the CEQA documentation and related biological studies for the project. The applicant requested the diversion of 150 acre-feet per year of water from Anderson Creek tributary to the Navarro River and from a tributary unnamed stream. Water would be directly diverted and diverted to storage in two existing reservoirs. Water would be used for irrigation and frost protection of approximately 57 acres of vineyard. Primary potential environmental issues included in-stream impacts from the water diversion, and impacts to biological and cultural resources. The water rights permits for the project were issued in December 2012.
