Carmichael Water District Approves American River Pipeline Project
April 20, 2015

The Carmichael Water District at its April 20, 2015 Board of Directors meeting adopted the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) document for the American River Pipeline Conveyance Project in order to provide treated water to Golden State Water Company and to restore habitat on a section of the American River. Analytical Environmental Services (AES) prepared the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the project in accordance with CEQA, as well as all related environmental permit applications. The project will provide drought supply reliability, remove abandoned infrastructure from the bed and banks of the American River, and restore native vegetation. The Save the American River Association (SARA) endorsed the project for its benefits to the American River.
