Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (March 2008)

The Teixeira project is located six miles east of Petaluma in Sonoma County, California. The project includes the diversion of 164 acre-feet of water per annum to storage from an Unnamed Stream tributary to the Petaluma River thence the San Pablo Bay.  Water would be used for stockwatering up to 1,000 head of dairy cattle and potentially the irrigation and frost protection of up to 300 acres of proposed vineyard. The State Water Recourse Control Board, Division of Water Rights is the CEQA Lead Agency for the project.
