NEWS AND REPORTS :

Clearlake Oaks County Water District Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Rehabilitation
April 24, 2014

These Initial Studies have been prepared by the Clearlake Oaks County Water District (CLOCWD) in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to examine the potential environmental effects associated with the construction and operation of proposed water and wastewater infrastructure rehabilitation projects. CLOCWD provides water and wastewater treatment services to the community of Clearlake Oaks. Proposed water infrastructure improvements consist of rehabilitation of the District’s water treatment plant, and replacement of leaking water storage tanks to reduce water waste. Proposed wastewater infrastructure improvements consist of rehabilitation of the District’s wastewater treatment plant and lift stations in order to properly transport, treat, and dispose of wastewater and to meet wastewater discharge permit requirements. Because the District intends to apply for funds from the USDA Rural Development Funding Program for each project, the Initial Studies include information to support compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
