AES is accredited by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) as a verification body for the purpose of verifying greenhouse gas emissions reports in accordance with the CARB Mandatory Reporting Program as required under Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) and the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32). The AES verification body consists of two CARB certified lead verifier and a staff of over 30 environmental specialists and support staff to assist clients with meeting the verification requirements. AES lead verifiers are also accredited to serve the refinery and electricity transaction sectors. On January 1, 2012, CARB approved revisions to Title 17 of the CCR. The revisions align CARBs Mandatory Reporting Program’s requirements with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s GHG Reporting Program. AES’s lead verifiers are well-versed with CARB’s revised reporting regulations and are prepared to provide outstanding verification service in the coming years.
