
AES prepares CEQA Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) and Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declarations for pending water rights application and petition projects. With over five years of project experience working under the State Water Resources Control Board’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) process, AES has developed a track record for completing work on schedule and to agency expectations. WATER RIGHTS PROJECT EXPERIENCE
The following represent a few of AES’s water rights projects.
Guenoc Vineyards Water Rights Modification Project Environmental Impact Report (EIR). AES is currently preparing a Final EIR for various modifications to existing water rights held by the 22,000 acre Guenoc Vineyard. Proposed modifications consist of adding water storage capacity to an existing reservoir and expanding the place of use for vineyard development. AES prepared a Draft EIR for the project that was circulated in July 2006 <VIEW> and an Initial Study that was circulated in May 2003 <VIEW>.
Vino Farms/Cooley Ranch Water Rights Application Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration. AES prepared an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and related permitting for this 450-acre project in Sonoma County, located in the Dry Creek watershed. The proposed project involves three separate water rights applications, each to develop water storage reservoirs and vineyards in separate geographical areas of the Cooley Ranch project area. The Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration was circulated in September 2007. <VIEW>
Sleepy Hollow Vineyards Water Right Petition Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration. AES prepared an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project located on Lakeville Highway in Sonoma County. The project includes the addition of 115 acres to the existing 60-acre place of use authorized under an existing water right permit, and an extension of time to make full beneficial use of the water authorized under the permit. The Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration was circulated in March 2006. <VIEW>
Rosenthal Vineyards Water Rights Application Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration. AES prepared an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration for the subject property located in Lake County. The project consists of two water rights applications that would allow for the direct diversion and diversion to storage of water in three onstream reservoirs for vineyard irrigation and frost protection, and fire protection and recreational purposes at the reservoirs. The Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration was circulated in July 2006. <VIEW>
